Call for Photos: 2025 Calendar

It's time once more to dust off your phone's camera lens: We're looking for your cutest animal photos for the Get Ready Calendar photo contest!

This year's theme is "Get Ready, Rest Easy." That means we want to see your furry, fuzzy, feathery and scaled friends at their very cutest. Think impossibly tiny kittens, sleepy puppy eyes, snuggly lovebirds or your pet lizard all curled up for naptime. Any animals may be entered — but no humans, please!

Submit your photos by July 12. *DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JULY 14!!*

  1. Select up to three photo entries. Vertical (portrait) photos look best!
  2. Attach the photos in an email as .jpg (JPEG) files at the largest size available (1MB or bigger).
  3. In the body of the email, tell us your name, address, phone number and pet’s name.
  4. Send the email to getreadycontest@apha.org and include “Contest submission” in the subject line.

Check out our full rules and FAQs, and then send us your photos! But hurry: This year's photo contest ends on Friday, July 12. Winners will be announced in August.

The calendar will be sent to APHA members with the January issue of The Nation's Health and will also be available for sale before the new year.

Take a look back at our furry friends from 2024!
